PRE-EVALUATION CONCERT

Preview LGPE Concert for 7^th & 8^th Grade Orchestra

Tuesday, 2/25 at 6:30 PM

Students should report at 6:15

Informal attire (school clothes)

This preview concert will give us a chance to assess our needs for rehearsal and instruction as we approach our formal evaluations.

      We will provide information about the LGPE process. 

      Durham MS is the host school on March 11^th and 12^th, and we will need some volunteers in order for the process to run smoothly.

LGPE Dates March 11: 7^th Grade Evaluations @ 5PM
March 12: 8^th Grade Evaluations @ 5PM

FORMS FOR 8th GRADE DISNEY TRIP

There are 4 forms that need to be turned in for the Disney Trip.

Disney Parent Meeting Rescheduled: Monday, Feb. 3rd

We are going to have the Disney Parent meeting on Monday night (2/3).

Chaperone Meeting will be at 6:30PM in the orchestra room.

Parent meeting will be at 7:30PM in the theater. 

In the mean time, please sign and send in any of the 4 forms, if we are still waiting on them.  

The forms are:

1. Permission Slip

2. Code of conduct (student and parent signature required)

3. Medical Release form (notarized)

4. A photocopy of insurance cards if you have insurance.

Winter Concert Information

Winter/Holiday Concerts

Tuesday, December 10th:  7th & 8th Grade Orchestra concert.  Concert starts at 6:30 PM, students report between 6:00 & 6:15 to tune and be seated.

Thursday, December 12th:  6th Grade Orchestra, fiddlers, viola choir, and cello choir.  Concert starts at 6:30 PM, students report between 6:00 & 6:15 to tune and be seated

Friday, December 13th:  Fiddlers perform in the morning at Frey Elementary @ 7:15AM

Concert Uniforms

***6th Grade:  Polos have been handed out in class today.  The 6th grade uniform is White polo, tucked in.  Black dress pants.  Black dress shoes.
***7th & 8th Grade:  Formal uniforms have been delivered and handed out in class.  The girls dresses and boys pants will need to be hemmed.  Dresses should be hemmed to ankle length.   The uniform is as follows:

Boys - White tuxedo shirt, black bow tie, Black tux/dress pants, black socks, black dress shoes

Girls - Solid black, ankle length dress.  Black dress shoes.  No open toe please.

Practice Logs

Practice logs are due on 12/10.  We are making a final push for EVERY student to do their personal best in preparation for our concerts.  Parents, if you don't see instruments coming home... this would be a sign that your child is not practicing and reaching his/her potential.
